You really are getting funnier all the time Joe. I am actually laughing hard. It gets back to that simple mind and simple observations I mentioned in an earlier post. But as far as taking sidesin a debate one of my philosophies is I try really hard to never align myself with idiots.

If it's common knowledge that he is a theist then why the fuck did he take Shake's side and quote from atheistic sources? Hmmmmmmmmm? And why the fuck didn't someone call him on the carpet for his troll ways when he attacked me for believing in God? Hmmmmmmm?
It sounds to me like many of you know that he's simply a troll but you defend his sorry ass and approve of his actions.

I'm starting to wonder how you're defining "troll" here. Even if Stumbler is changing his tune, I wasn't aware that being intellectually inconsistent renders you a troll.

 

But Stumbler and his PALs are saying that he never changed his tune regarding believing in God.
Attacking another poster for something all the while believing the same thing that you are attacking the other guy for believing fits within the definition of troll behavior.

Has a more simple explanation ever occurred to you? That maybe you are just wrong. Or is it possible that the vast majority of the people on the forum are wrong and you are right? Actually if you look at the God thread and probably 1000 other posts I've been very consistent. If anything I'm a Deist who believes in a natural God and I even go so far as to believe in prayer. I am not a Christian by the definition, believe the original Bible was actually written by Bathsheba, believe the Bible is potentially the most dangerous book ever written and am absolutely loath to modern Christianity and the role it plays in our government and daily lives.

But you can't expect someone like JoeDirty to be able to grasp those concepts.

Maybe because a good debater and a well informed person is aware of all sides of an argument? In school when you are on a debate team you may be asked to debate either side of an issue, whether you agree with the side or not. It's a sign of intelligence, education, and intellect to be able to argue both sides. It's also a sign of self-awareness to be able to criticize oneself or to look at other people's criticisms of yourself and honestly evaluate them. To act otherwise is a sign of immaturity and ignorance.

But what I really want to know is if humor is objective or subjective?

That works great in a debate class where it's clear what is taking place.
But when you are attacked, called stupid, and accused of being mentally unstable for believing in God on the internet the safe assumption is that the guy attacking you is one who doesn't believe in God.
Either that or he is a troll.

Here's what I actually told you long ago and you should have believed me then. There is nothing I could do to you worse on this forum than what you do to yourself.

You are a fellow southerner, dangercurves. Surely you can understand that what I did was right and justified in light of how he has mistreated me. Even an apology to him for my part in starting the controversy fell on deaf ears. He continued to attack and attack.
I realized along the way that he was simply a troll who got his kicks from attacking others. I've now proved it.
I don't intend to ever address any more of his attack posts toward me. I've placed him on Ignore. In time he will give up attacking me and go after someone else because I've now cut off his food supply.

I see... interesting. Well, let me address those issues.

1. I don't belong in any clique of any kind. I come and go as I please, and make my mind up about people based on how they interact with everyone, as well as with me. This viewpoint is constantly changing, as I learn more about the person in question.

2. Based on that, I am able to make an objective view of you, because you and I have no prior history. I can do this without feeling the need to rush to a friends defense, or without animosity of any kind towards you. In other words, the way you act and interact here, dictate how I view you. Nothing more, nothing less.

3. Having examined all of the evidence available to me in your posts since I arrived here, I have come to one inescapable conclusion, based upon those posts.

You're an idiot.

Now, let me make this abundantly clear. This is nothing personal. I've talked to and spoken to many idiots in all walks of life. Saturday morning staff at stores, whose IQ was slightly lower than amoeba, are one kind of idiot that come to mind.

Then there are some idiots, for example, who seem hell bent on trying to convince me, that black is white, and up is down. You fall into that category, perfectly, based on past and current experience.

I've spoken to Stumbly now, on a number of occasions. On every occasion, he has been friendly, polite, laughs often (as his wife being woken up by it, can attest to!) and enjoys joking around with me. He certainly is an intelligent man, well read, and debates extremely well, although, as he himself has admitted, sometimes his feelings get the better of him, and get him into needless trouble. That takes quite a man to admit that, in my book.


I've spoken to Shake too, though not as often as Stumbly (as yet)... in my first conversation with him, he thoughtfully posted up a link to a subject he thought I might find interesting. He too has a sense of fun, and again, has always been friendly to talk to. He also is a well read and intelligent individual.

Having observed both Stumblys and Shakes posts on various threads, I learned that both of them are spiritual, although I don't feel either one of them is religious. I also observed that they constantly debate and discuss things, sometimes very heatedly, but have a mutual respect for each others intellectual capabilities.

By comparison, your first words to me were disrespectful, and sarcastic. As I recall, you referred to myself and Binky as "tweedledum and tweedledee" and that "you didn't understand half the things we were saying".

Yes... I can well believe that.

So, in final summing up, Stumbly and Shake are intelligent friendly men, with excellent senses of fun. You, on the other hand, are a rude, unpleasant man, with limited intellectual capability, and no observable sense of fun, save a very juvenile one. In fact, I can't help but wonder - based on your posts - if you're even of legal age to be here... your immature antics would seem to suggest otherwise, at any rate.

Now, having dissected both you and your fallacious viewpoints, systematically, and without any negative feelings towards you whatsoever... I believe you were leaving?

It also gets very old very fast to repeatedly hear that someone is leaving...and then to repeatedly hear that they were just joking about every post ...

I don't really have a problem with Shake. He isn't a troll.

OTOH stumbler is. He may be nice to you now. He is nice to a number of people here. But mark my words one day you'll say something that he doesn't like or he may just decide one day to make you his next victim. Either way you'll learn then that he isn't a very nice person.

Earlier today I did make a half joking, half serious statement about leaving the GD section. But I've decided that I'll continue to post here. I'll just try to avoid the more controversial subjects (especially religion) and stay mostly with more light hearted and silly stuff.
