    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

      Not quite true. The invention of the game is widely attributed to Abner Doubleday, in Cooperstown, NY. But even that is disputed, Alexander Joy Cartwright is told to have invented the modern game of baseball, writing clear cut rules, establishing the diamond shape, 90’ base paths, three strikes, etc.

      Supposedly the game evolved by colonials in Canada and in the 13 south of them,from rounders and cricket, setting a new game that was played in cities under a hodgepodge of rules, until Alexander Joy Cartwright wrote the modern rules.

    We have friends in Port Burwell, Ontario and were visiting them one Labor Day weekend.
    I was joking with them that they celebrate all of the other "American" holidays like Christmas, Easter and Labor Day (Yes, I know those aren't "American" holidays. I'm not an idiot) but was curious as to why they didn't celebrate Fourth of July.
