You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

I was traumatized by the Bogey Man who hid in my closet. I knew he was there, but I was too frightened to look for him.

I missed the mention of food in the opening statement. :oops:I disliked peas. :yuck:I still do. I like other beans though, especially garbanzo beans, black eyed peas, tofu and lima beans. My diet it largely vegetarian, so I eat these with lots of whole grains, seeds, and nuts.

I do eat meat on occasion. Pork is a guilty pleasure because it is not kosher and pigs are intelligent animals who can make good pets.

I am not Jewish, but I like Jews and aspects of the Jewish religion. The founder of my religion was Jewish.

At our house, the bogey man hid under my bed, so I would take a running leap to get into bed each night.

Me too, @deegenerate! Only it wasn't the boogie man. It was a character from a movie I saw (shouldn't have seen it!) when I was very little. A guy got bit by a snake and started to turn into one. I was convinced he lived under my bed.

When I was really young I thought that fried eggs were staring at me and daring me to eat then.

Dad liked liver and onions. Mom refused to cook 2 meals a day. So about 4 times per year, she tried to make us eat it.
and 4 times per year I went to be hungry. Said she regretted that later in life. I think it was not that she felt guilty for
sending her kids to bed hungry, but that she fed that bastard a food that only he would eat.

I hate ketchup! But I love brown spiced sauce, especially smothered over my grilled cheese sandwich then grilled a little more until it soaks into the cheese.

I never tried to force my son to eat anything @conroe4 . His dad did. He was extremely picky when he was little but he actually loves pretty much all vegetables now.

We never wanted to use the ketchup when we were kids. Grandma added water to it to make it go further, and we hated it. Yuck!

It didn't hide the flavor of liver...we tried it. Sugar didn't work either, and what's worse, our frickin dog wouldn't eat it either.

I should have just drank the ketchup.

Also Spam. I was forced to eat Spam sandwiches. So I earned my independence from my parents when my dad kicked me out of the house, and I thought that was the end of Spam....

But Noooooo. I had an assignment deep in china and those cheap fuckers fed me fried Spam every morning for breakfast. :sperm:

Are you sure it was genuine SPAM and not some SPAM like substance? I once had a SPAM like substance in Taiwan about 50 years ago... you can't pull the wool over my eyes when you had the real thing -UCK!:O_o:

They kidnapped me, took me out to the Taklamakan Desert, and there was no escape. Taklamakan translates to 'the man goes in but does not come out.'
For real. I was a prisoner there for 2 months.

But it was the Spam sandwiches my mom fed us for lunch that traumatized me.

I liked most veggies but the one pass I got was Green Beans. I did not have to eat them as a kid. They actually made me sick when I was younger. Then I just really did not like them. Then suddenly in my early 40's I suddenly started liking them. Go figure!

They say you eat with your eyes first. Especially if you are a kid. I didn't like anything with tomatoes in it. (Chili, Goulash, etc.) So I would pick out the tomatoes but Mom made us sit at the table until we finished so it usually meant a long might at the table. She even had this meal of bread and tomatoes. Just what it sounds like, stewed tomatoes with bread pieces mixed in stirred up. Just the sight would make you want to puke. Her mom was a product of the depression so there were some strange things served. Her liver and onions was good though. Didn't like cooked cabbage. It stunk up the house every march (we weren't Irish) and chicken livers and gizzards were okay. One thing she made was Macaroni and Milk. Macaroni with milk added after cooked and drained with a ton of butter. Friends that came over to the house and ate that would always rave about it. For breakfast sometimes we would have Rice and Raisins. Minute rice cooked with raisins in the water, add sugar and butter. Then serve with a little bit of milk in it.

Canned spinach! My mother would drain it, throw it in a pan and fry it with egg. Then she would pour pickle juice over it and make me eat it. *shivers*

It's funny in a tragic sort of way, but the more I read about the weird shit members were made to eat as kids, the more I'm convinced that 'Post-Partum Depression' is a real thing.
(Pssst! Your moms were trying to kill you! No offense, just sayin')

Despite living in a van with 4 boys for a year, my mom was denied food stamps in the late '90's. But we had to eat, so we stole some corn out of a field. It was white corn with thousands of little white worms in it, my mom pretended to throw out the 'bad corn' but boiled it all up anyways. Can't say I was traumatized by it, but I still pass on the creamed corn
