Vice President-elect Mike Pence is going to court to prevent his emails from being released to the public, the Indianapolis Star reported Monday. He is seeking to prevent a message he received about blocking an executive action on immigration from President Barack Obama.

The email is being sought by a Democratic labor lawyer over Pence's decision to hire outside counsel to fight the Obama administration immigration policy. I don't blame him, if some of mine were made public there would be a few in the business/financial community running for cover lol.

I know this might bring in some hate mail but a kind of like Mike Pence even though he is a Republican ...

 

The Clinton email were under subpoena in a criminal investigation and were direct evidence.
That's NOT the case with Pence e-mails. They are on a fishing expedition.

 

At some point, we have to stop the character assassination, but the election puke behind us, and start working together.
You know, have a block party and get to know each other.
Then we can hate based on personal experience, not what we're being told to hate.

 

I keep hearing people say this, but no one ever explains what these special rights are... Care to explain?

 

Not so much "special rights" but "special notice".
Here's the thing. You talk to most people about this, and what comes out is that very few people give a damn who has sex with whom. Not their business. Better things to worry about.
Most people realize that while the lifestyle might not be attractive to them, in the end, it doesn't impact them either. As long as the relationship is between consenting adults, and not "in your face" (pun intended) they just don't care.
So
The issue will invoke emotions when the media publicizes a gay couple who sue a bakery because the bakery didn't want to make their wedding cake, or a couple dressed as horses and maybe getting it on is asked to leave a resort, or someone on a bus makes a face at a same sex couple having sex in the back of the bus.

Very few people still claim same sex is the devils work, or sinful, or whatever. What a majority of people object to is having what is otherwise a private concern shoved in their collective faces.
I mean, if a bakery didn't want to make my wedding cake, I probably wouldn't want to force the issue; how am I ever gonna eat that cake, thinking maybe the baker spit in the icing or something. I'd just go find another baker. And if my partner and I are dressed like horses and maybe trying a bit of horseplay, I should expect management to take exception. Just like they certainly would if Brad Pitt and Angelina were getting it on near the kiddie pool. Cmon people, think about this a little.

The courts have spoken; same sex marriage is legal. Discrimination is illegal.
Issue decided; move on. No need to continue publicizing the idea that because you like only people of the same sex you are special. You're not. Deal with it.

 

And yet they have been persecuted. They've had to fight for basic human rights. You may be right that those who take exception to the way they live, but those people have the power to effect how they live their lives. Religion and politics shouldn't be a bludgeon to beat people with.

And yes, I do get your point.

 

I know that Pence is concerned with past e-mails, but the simplest and surest solution to a problem like this is...... wait for it......DON'T USE FUCKING E-MAILS.
