Muslims, Christians and Jews all worship the same God.

From what I understand, the difference between us is that we have different Profits.
The foundation of our scriptures are almost the same.

Won't it be a sad day when we go before GOD for judgement and find ourselves facing condemnation because we placed more value in the "Profits" and used that to kill each other rather than placing that value on "GOD" and support each other?

I'm not some religious fanatic but I do have my own beliefs.

The reason I started this thread is I've seen a number of posts on a variety of threads attacking one religion or religion as a whole and thought this could be a chance to educate each other on our beliefs or lack there of.

The death of Osama bin Ladin has caused a lot of discussion and raised the specter of retaliation all in the name of religion.

Its not quite that simple but yes, all three religions have thier roots in the same place. Christianity rose from Judaism as the fulfilment of Jewish prophecy. Islam was born out of the fertile imagination of a "prophet" who co opted numerous tennents of Judaism and Christianity and made his own religion, probably using the general hatred of the Jews as a foundation for his ideas, not unlike Hitler holding up Jews as being responsable for Germanys problems in the 1930's. Jews and Christians generaly get along okay with eachother but have had thier issues. Muslims...not so much.

The problem you run into is that there is this thing called scripture that lays out the diference between truth and not truth. As far as Jews are concerned Christians are out of thier minds. As far as Christians are concerned Muslims are out of thier minds and Jews are just not up to speed yet. Muslims reagrd both as completely nuts. The prophets are the same between the three, Isaac, Jacob, etc...And most of the general tennents are similar. In fact Christians have thier foundational religion in Judaism so the things that Jews consider good and bad or right and wrong,Christians also (or at least should) regard as good and bad or right and wrong. Christians believe the Old Testament, they just added to it the New Testament. Muslims...um...well...the New Testament actualy speaks to that issue even though Islam didnt exist yet. Anyway...its not a simple relationship...it's...um...complicated.

In the end, people should regard eachother as brothers. We are all in this together whether or not we agree there shouldnt be as much general hatred as there is. It realy isnt necessary or proper. Thats where humans prove thier failings is the inability to simply get along in spite of being diferent.

The Muslims will have to inrease their efforts a hundredfold to get anywhere NEAR massacring as many Jews as the Christians have managed to do.

Whats to rethink? Jews and Christians get along with eachother much better than Jews and Muslims or Christians and Muslims. Not that Christians and Jews havent butted heads a few times here and there. Perhapse I wasnt clear enough.

I'm going to guess from this that your knowldge of Islam is based on what you've read in The National Enquirer. there's no specific hatred or general insult aimed at jews in the Koran, so if Islam was founded, as you say, on "the general hatred of the Jews", why not just throw it in? for that matter, why even bother to include so much of Jewish belief and even religious law into the new faith (such as the shared prohibition in both Jewish and Islamic faiths about eating pork)? seems odd to include something you supposedly hate in something you want to teach.

1. This reminds me where did the haulocast take place, was it some muslim country or was it in europe (christian based population).

Where did the jews live once they had been expelled from the holy land (the exodus) and for how many years (a few hundred years and then they were forcefully settled in Palestine)..... for the sake of assumption, does that mean, the red indians and the aboridgnes, can claim USA and Australia and through out the other residents/inhabitants namely the americans and the aussies out.
3. In my knowledge during the muslim rule in jeruselum , Jews were never harmed, unlike a "common" perception. In fact it was the romans who had been cruel on them

The current situation, check out the land of Israel, the area when it was initially formed in 1948, then after the war in 1967, and the current years, the way iraq's nuclear facilities were blown off. 5. The three religions are very similar except for their prophets. If you see what islam teaches, you would realize that its a very peaceful religion, what the media portrays is totally a different picture. Every following muslim respects Moses, and Jesus, as they do respect their prophet.
