    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    A friend of mine in DC had a health incident at work today, finding that all of a sudden his heart was beating near 200 bpm, which I'm sure we can all agree are far too many beats.

    He took himself off quick like a bunny to the hospital, but before leaving gave himself an ECG on his Apple watch, which actually turned into useful diagnostics at the ER.

    Turns out, absent the labs, his wrist computer effectively diagnosed what happened: supraventricular tachycardia.

    This living in the future stuff is cool, I guess?

      I also learned something: dunking your face in ice water is one of the things you can do to tell your vagus nerve to knock that shit off. And essentially that's what he did; he want outside into the cold, and it stopped. Also, bearing down like you want to have a bm helps as well? Apparently. He'll need to keep those in mind because he's told it'll recur. If it happens a lot they'll do an ablation, but in the meantime, he just has to monitor and manage.
