Ham and bacon are just yucky.
I don't like "processed meats" too much unless homemade (hamburger, sausage, meatballs).
Anything that still looks like the life animal it's from, or if I have seen the animal alive before it was made into meat or fish.
Insects if I know it (I heard they are already into a lot of stuff so I probably ate them unknowingly).
Charcuterie (the meat eaten on bread) - some exceptions.
Asparagus, artichoke, canned peas (fresh ones/deep freeze ones/dried before use ones are ok).
Balsamico vinegar.
I try to avoid onions and cabbage but in small quantities I can digest it or at least don't have too much issues.
Most uncooked fruits (allergy). Tomatoes count as a fruit in this matter (they are fruits but usually are seen as vegetables).
Some of posts above like foie gras and the like.
I mostly try to avoid tuna fish, dolphins are often killed in catching it, just b/c they swim close to tuna (they also eat it), but I will eat it if there's few other options.
Probably more that didn't come to mind right now.

 

I am not much into vegetables. I eat beans, peas, corn, potatoes. just about everything else is off limits.
Don't eat raw meat. Well there is some meat I'll eat raw.

 

As a child I remember being told to sit at the table for hours because I did not eat my Brussels sprouts. That was a battle of wills but I eventually won. And yes they are that gross.

 

My uncle never ate vegetables. He said cows ate vegetables and he ate the cow so it all worked out.

 

Meat balls...onions...kielbasa...Seafood...blah.

I know I sound like a kid but brussel sprouts

 

I have a problem with slimy or rubbery textures. So no oysters or squid or clams. I won’t eat anything alive or kill something in front of me , like a lobster in a tank. And I won’t touch an octopus because they’re cool and their tentacles make me queasy

My preferred foods are chocolate cake, fudge, tootsie rolls, and rum raisin ice cream and for my preferred drink, coke.. but I do take a vitamin pill to make up for my poor diet and I go to MickeyDs a few times a week.
I am 85 so WTF, it's not as though I am screwing up my life and health for the future.

So, as part of Shooters rehab he is changing his diet and lifestyle.
The new diet is "plant based" but not strictly vegan.
So far, it is ...... palatable.......... he is unimpressed by the spinach lasagne and has discovered a new loathing for black beans. At the same time the Mexican casserole is tasty but does cause flatulence.
