Maybe the meaning of "chill" has changed but to me it means something along the line of "Relax and hang out".

Because today we have dating apps, social media and until recently craigslist. In the old days, you went out, met people, did things. People put work into getting laid. Now people just want to meet up for sex and that's it. Just look around here and see how much craigslist is missed. I take it those who used it weren't just looking for friends to hang with.

 

It still happens for me. I have a couple of friends who I see mostly for sex but it's not just quickies. One is an old friend and the sex part is taken care of pretty quick usually and then it's dinner and catch up. Sometimes it's just hanging out in her place but that often turns to mutual masturbation. But I still get to see her and hear how things are going and how her kids are.
