Those of you who are still flying your Ukrainian flags and giving your fleeting sympathies should learn some history. What happened today with our president was a necessity and a slap in the face for reality.

This has been a growing fester of wrongful intervention by the US and other NATO countries like Germany since the 90’s, before Putin was ever in power, which didn’t happen until 1997. You do realize that Russia ended the Warsaw Pact in the early 90’s because they were given assurances that NATO wouldn’t expand further east to their borders. This was breached and continued by not only the US, but other countries up to this moment in time. Countries like Geogia and Ukraine were on the list of opportunities to expand NATO. In 2014, the US helped in the coup against the then president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych who was not interested in being part of NATO but wanted to establish Ukraine as a neutral country. This led to revolt and a coup of Yanukovych being removed as president and exiled from leadership forming the way for the current regime that elected Zelensky. Now we have a guy who has halted elections and cannot account for billions of dollars in aid from US taxpayers. He also will not use any diplomacy to consider a ceasefire while 10’s of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers are killed in battle. Instead, Zelensky would rather be thankless and argue with our leadership why we should continue to help his country and give them further aid and protection. This had all occurred while the US was a big part of the problem for trying to expand NATO onto the borders of Russia over the course of years making a global move contrary to the deal it had made with Russia not to expand NATO. Our current leadership is smart enough to realize that NATO expansion would be considered an act of war by Russia and possibly lead to World War. It would be no different if Mexico and Canada joined a warsaw pact with Russia on our borders. Americans wouldn’t tolerate that.

While I believe Putin is a dangerous leader and murderer, it’s time to make peace, and concessions should be made by both sides to end this war. Our money should not be going anywhere near the corrupt Ukrainian regime and if they want to continue in this war then they need to do it themselves without US help or any other NATO country. Russia dropped the warsaw pact on the assurance NATO would not expand and peace prevailed all of those years as a result of deescalation.

The last administration of the US through its figurehead and the true decisionmakers (bureaucrats), decimated world peace and helped to escalate the war in Ukraine. With the help of media and the globalist agenda that they push only give you a small picture of the real story. Because you don’t know the history, you are just a pawn on the chessboard oblivious to the true reality. We need to uphold the assurances we gave in the early 90’s and act as a dealmaker instead of a contributor to a war that is un-winable by Ukraine. Instead of following media propaganda and emptying our US coffers and endangering the entire globe, learn some history.

@mstrman apparently thinks that the minds of liberals can be swayed with facts or history.
    Don't think so.

The Whitehouse meet between Trump and Zelenskyy was taped and is available for any to see, complete with any spin one might care to subscribe to. A quick search reveals the predictable spin from MSNBC, CNN, AP etc. claiming Trump was being a bully.
Fox et al are all praising Trump for standing up to Zelenskyy and not allowing Zelenskyy's ambush to work.

Here's the thing. The US, to date, has provided more aid to Ukraine than anyone else, by far. Over $50 BILLION to date, with the EU in second with $37 BILLION, the UK at $8 BILLION and down from there.
Now, Trump has taken a new path by expecting Ukraine to pay back at least some of that aid. This has triggered much of the world, since historically the US has played sugar daddy to the rest of the world without expecting so much as a kiss on the cheek from recipients. This concerns the rest of the world, cause, you know, sugar daddy now has attitude. They're watching the Ukraine thingy closely, figuring (correctly) that how goes it with Ukraine is how it will go for them when they hike their skirts for sugar daddy.

Now yesterday the expected signing of an agreement between the US and Ukraine blew up in spectacular fashion. Historically, these photo op meets are cordial hale fellow affairs meant to show the world that the participants are all best friends and in agreement on whatever brought them together. Yesterday started poorly with Zelenskyy's attitude and ended with Trump arrogantly tossing the old boy out without even discussing the deal that brought them together in the first place. Wow.

Predictably, the Trump haters are spinning this to make Trump the bully and Zelenskyy the victim while the conservatives are cheering Trump for not tolerating the arrogant dictator's attempt to ambush him in a photo op.

    So. Where are we.
Well, first of all, Putin has to be celebrating. He's thinking Trump now will tell Zelenskyy to fuck off, and with no more sugar daddy help, Putin can put an end to this thing once and for all.
Second, if Zelenskyy wants to get the security guarantees he wants so badly he's gonna have to suck up a bit to Trump. And yeah, he's gonna have to let America have a sizeable chunk of his rare earth minerals to get it. But, as Trump pointed out, if the US is in Ukraine producing those minerals, no one is much going to fuck around with Ukraine because any American who so much as gets a bruise from aggressors is going to be the catalyst for America to put boots on the ground in Ukraine. The one truth that hasn't changed is, when the US unleashes it's military people die and stuff gets broken in spectacular fashion. Do not fuck with America, in other words.
But third, Shooter is pretty sure Trump isn't ready to give up on Zelenskyy or Ukraine. Trump is confident he can get a deal that's good for the US and gives Ukraine the warm fuzzy feeling they need from the US. And that means Putin isn't going to get what he wants, in fact, it fits Trumps agenda better if Putin ends up third wheel in the deal. It stops the invasion. It stops the blood shed. Trump gets a gold star for ending the war. America gets the minerals Ukraine has. The media/liberals will have to finally admit(to themselves privately, they'd never admit it publicly) that trump is no one's bitch, most assuredly not Putin's. Zelenskyy might be convinced to release the whole biden/Burisma saga. It won't cause trouble for the brandon bunch what with presidential pardons scattered to the horizon, but it would vindicate Trump, wouldn't it?

So. We'll have to sort through the liberal "TRUMP IS A BULLY" and the conservative "FUCK ZELENSKYY" diatribes and wait to see what happens next. Shooter's guess is, Trump and Zelenskyy will work it out, we'll get our minerals, and Trump will show Putin that his best hope is to cut some deal with Trump/Zelenskyy that will let him at least save some face. But Putin isn't getting Ukraine. Not on Trump's watch.
    Mark this spot.

Hitler and Stalin. In 2025, which is Trump and which is Putin? I say Stalin is Trump because Trump seems to be trusting Putin to keep his word about Ukraine. The same way Stalin trusted Hitler to keep his word about Poland. Everyone saw how that worked out!!!!! "Gambling with WWIII" may be exactly correct!

The whole meeting was a setup, Trump and Vance appear to have entered the meeting with the intention of berating Zelensky and drawing him into an argument as a pretext for the diplomatic break. Why should anyone have expected anything different? Trump has been regurgitating Russian propaganda, not only regarding Ukraine, since before Zelensky even assumed office. He defended Russia’s seizure of Crimea in 2018 (the year preceding Zelensky’s election), has repeatedly refused to acknowledge Russian guilt for various murders, and has even stuck to Russian talking points on such idiosyncratic topics as the Soviets’ supposedly defensive rationale for invading Afghanistan in 1979 and their fear that an “aggressive” Montenegro would attack Russia, dragging NATO into war.
In the past few weeks, Trump has made very little effort to conceal his pro-Russian tilt. He called Zelensky a dictator, and when asked if he would say the same about Putin, refused, insisting, “I don’t use those words lightly.” (No president in American history has used words more lightly than Trump.) He said Ukraine “may be Russian someday” and blamed Ukraine for starting the war. The U.S. even joined Russia, North Korea, and a tiny bloc of Russian allies to vote against a United Nations resolution condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

    not mine... cut and pasted

Actual spending on Ukraine not the lies:
    United States
    • Total committed: ~$182.8B
    • To Ukraine directly: ~$105.1B
    • $2B humanitarian aid
    • $33.3B budget support
    • $69.8B military aid
    • Rest (~$77.7B): Spent on U.S. military activities, replenishing U.S. stockpiles, and support for other affected countries.
    • Actual money sent so far: $83.4B (Ukraine has received ~$76B).
    • Remaining money not yet sent: ~$99.4B (awaiting approval or not yet committed).
    European Union
    • Direct aid to Ukraine: $138.7B
    • Broader spending (including support for refugees, replenishing stockpiles, etc.): $198B
    Canada
    • Total aid: $19.7B
    • $12.4B financial aid
    • $4.5B military aid
    • Remainder for humanitarian and development programs.
    • Additional $5B from seized Russian assets (to be repaid using interest earned on those assets).
    Ukraine’s Own Spending
    • Total spent: ~$320B
    • Ukraine’s own money spent: ~$120B
    Key Notes
    • About 60% of Ukraine’s total funding comes from Europe & Canada.
    • 35% of EU aid is loans, but some of the repayment comes from seized Russian assets.
    • U.S. weapons sent to Ukraine are valued at ~60% less than the original price, as they come from old stockpiles, reducing disposal costs for the U.S.
    • A large portion of U.S. spending actually stays in the U.S., employing American workers to replace donated military equipment.
Bottom Line, Trump and Vance Continuous Lies:
The U.S. has NOT sent $300B+ to Ukraine. The real number is closer to $175B committed, with only $83.4B actually sent so far. Europe and Canada together have contributed significantly, with the EU committing up to $198B and Canada at $19.7B (+$5B from Russian assets).

Treasury sec reveals Zelenskyy nixed Trump's mineral deal twice prior to Oval Office blowup
Appearing on ‘The Ingraham Angle,’ Scott Bessent told Laura Ingraham, ‘This has to be one of the greatest diplomatic mishaps of all time by President Zelenskyy’
    By Jeffrey Clark Fox News
    Published March 1, 2025 11:45am EST

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had already twice refused to sign a minerals deal with the United States.

"This has to be one of the greatest diplomatic mishaps of all time by President Zelenskyy," Bessent said in an interview Friday with Laura Ingraham, host of Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle."

Bessent explained that Zelenskyy told him during a meeting in Kyiv that he would not sign a mineral deal, which would exchange billions of dollars in US aid funding for rare earths and other resources from Ukraine. Zelenskyy also refused to close the deal with Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Bessent stated.

On Friday, Trump and Vance reprimanded Zelenskyy in full view of reporters, with cameras rolling. The tense exchange led to a canceled meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump.

"It was supposed to be a great day and this is one of the biggest own goals in diplomatic history," Bessent said, referencing a soccer term about scoring against your own team.

"Today, I was shocked that he would behave like this on camera in front of the world," he added.

On the social media site X, Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo. posted, "Zelenskyy could have signed the deal five days earlier but wanted to come to the White House. He’d been difficult for two weeks. Yet he wanted the White House meeting. Trump was upbeat about it even just the day before publicly and privately the day of. Although he could have reset the whole thing, Zelenskyy was antagonistic and over the top."

First off the Budapest treaty was never ratified by the US Congress so the US is not obligated to follow it...

Second the "Budapest treaty" was not a "treaty" at all, is was in fact a memorandum.... The two are very different.

Third, why weren't all you left wingnuts crying to brain dead joe biden the last 4 years about the Budapest treaty if it was so fucking good???

There is a thing in Washington that many people understand but that few will say: that the Trump administration was looking for a pretext to ruin its relationship with Ukraine, and that the canned messaging that followed the Oval Office feels oddly coordinated and premeditated.

“That was a train wreck by design .. The quiet conversation since Munich has been about setting Ukraine up for a fall. If a real deal was going to be unattainable .. that somebody would need to take the blame for it, and it would likely be the Ukrainians ”

Yep, just like how Canada thinks it's entitled to neglect it's NATO obligations while relying on the US for it's defense...

You claim Canada gives aid to the Ukraine? Hell you do even meet your own monetary obligations with regards to your own defense.

You notice the coward and thief Zelensky got on a plane and flew directly to the UK? He didn't travel to Canada because he knows there isn't shit up there for him...

Impressive. The trump haters have gotten more creative than a Disney animator coming up with explanations for the Trump/Zelenskyy meet yesterday.
Now they're saying it was all preplanned by Trump to get Zelenskyy to disrespect America, his biggest sugar daddy. And by God, they managed to set this up during a planned photo op!

I wish I could post the videos of Zelensky with his people. They adore him. He visited a children’s hospital after it was bombed. He’s hugging these kids and they’re crawling all over him. He’s out walking the streets and people just approach him shake his hand and give him hugs. I guess he’s a hugger lol. You can see how warm and concerned he is.

I have never seen Trump hug anyone. Not even his own kid. Not even his wife. He just kinda puts his hands on her awkwardly while she cringes.

Trump will never be the leader Zelensky is. Trump has no class. No dignity. No compassion. No morals. Nothing.

I think the point the commentator is making is that the "deal" in this case amounts to licking Putin's ass. There is no good deal. Therefore blame Zelensky. I've not been on here for a long time. Apologies, I had forgotten how silly it is to talk politics on a porn site and how arrogant you were.

Also the fact that if you as bald as fuck but twisting up the stands of hair you have like cotton candy, rather than rocking what you’ve got says more than some black slacks and a black sweater.

I also wanted to see who the asshole reporter was who made a stink about the suit and it was Brian Glenn. He’s apparently the boyfriend of that crazy Marjorie Taylor Greene chick. Because of course he is.

Here he is, looking especially douchy. And check out that suit  It’s hideous.

What a cheek this chump criticising anyone on clothing choice, knot in his tie is utter wank, I could get dressed in the dark and fix myself up better than that. Saying that, I’m gorgeous so it’s not hard.

The pale faced one on the right. He looks like he bought a new face at a Texel sheep mart.

The USA fucked the Ukrainians by waging a proxy war to annoy Russia. Now they have the nerve ask to be paid back.
The USA should pay reparations to Ukrainians on behalf of their new friends
