I have to quote my personal experience with it here. Although I quite like a little on occasion for sex, and hubby smokes it, my son was not as lucky. At the age of 15/16 he started taking it with friends. He had been warned against the dangers of smoking by his grandfather (on his hospital bed) so tried eating it. We did not know what was going on at the time, and he strated having panic attacks and suffered anxiety and social phobia. At its worst, I would drive him to school but he could not get out of the car to go inside - all at a very crucial time at the run up to his exams. He was so anxious he could not be left alone in the house and I had to take him to work with me. We were very lucky that we discovered why this was happning and managed to help him through it - he did his exams and although his results were not brilliant, they were not bad considering.

Now I'm not saying this will happen to everyone who smokes or takes it in any other form, but for some it is not a good thing. I am grateful he came out the other side stronger, but he knows he cant handle it and steers clear of it. It can cause paranoia and other problems......... for some. And not everyone will make the connection and stop.

I used to smoke occasionally. Then about 15 years ago, the stuff got so strong, hydroponics, etc, that I couldn't stand it anymore. gave me hangovers like booze, which I hate.
I like a a light buzz, not to get slammed against the wall. Can't even grow your own most of the time because they microwave it just enough to kill the seeds. Fuck it, it ain't worth it anymore for me. Now, if I could just quit tobacco as easy.
BTW, I'd much rather have stoned people driving on the same road as me than drunk people.

The ONE decent thing Obama has done is to pledge not to enforce federal drug laws ...so long as state laws are being followed. Yay, the feds actually deferring to the states (as just about everything should be.)

In other words, if your state is having budget problems, LEGALIZE WEED and tax the shit out of it!

 

I am not doubting there are some health benefits from taking cannabis, but it as to be done in a controlled manner not "Fuck it I feel bad so I'm gonna smoke".
Any medication which is used correctly is usually good for the recipient, but just the random use of any drug, ranging from junior aspirins throught to chemo therapy drugs is going to have a harmful effect on your body.
So unless you have a script from your doctor stating you can smoke three joints QID then I suggest you stay away from the stuff and stop self medicating yourself into total delusion.

 

Personally, its not my thing. I am not into any kind of smoking, whether it be cigarretes, cigars or smoking weed. Saying that, each to their own!

real mixed feelinga about it, i have enjoyed my fair share of it but when i got 16ish i kinda stopped and grew out of it, ile still take a toke every once in a while. but i think its like alchohol it was a ton of fun as a fresman in highschool b/c there was the chance of being caught, but now as i reach the legal age 21 in 5 months i am drinking less and less

 

I'm a major pothead. Well not so much since I had my baby after not smoking during my whole pregnancy. I wish more people would look into what weed really does to your health...it's a lot better for you than tobacco, alcohol, or pain killers.
