as a side note...

Steve Wynn in his hotels in Vegas has done a twist to this and hires 30 to 50 year old milf's to serve drinks....

I am sitting at a table playing Blackjack and ask the male dealer "are all the cocktail girls, milf's"

his answer, "that is Mr Wynn's policy" and he just grins....

 

There's a difference between a Mom I'd Like to Fuck and an overweight train wreck that inspires people to say things like 'mommy, why is that man wearing a dress?' or the ever popular 'deal lord! there should be a law against leaving the house without looking in the mirror!'

There are just jobs that kids do and there are jobs that adults do. That movie theater job I had kept a core of expereinced employees and a few managers paying them all +$20/hour and used kids to back fill, and the mop up puke and spilled soda for 'lower' wages. That was in 1996 when I was getting paid +$2 more than minimum. I was happy as a clam because I was making money, working with people my own age, watching movies and paying my car expenses during that summer.

The way I see it, and what I have done with my life, is that there comes a point where we all need to get serious about what we are doing and figure out what the hell we want. I sold my soul to the US Army and loved it until I got hurt and had to find something else to do.

This rampant Peter Pan syndrome and 'why is no one helping me' whining is just tiresome.

 

Yes.. This is all fine and well in thought - people just need to figure out what to do and do it. Except it doesn't work that way alot of times in the real world.

Let me just give you some examples from my own family. My mom have two educations, sign-language translator and a higher education to handle children. She spent most of her life working with disabled childen and earned a average pay - even though the amount of years she was under education should have given her alot more compaired to others. My mom and dad had some ups and downs (Bying house at the wrong time and lost 250.000 danish kroner) then my mom got braindamage while giving birth to my babysister and basically lost the ability to focus for more then 10min at a time without needing to rest/sleep - this makes it impossible to work, even though she's not even 50 yet and can't retire fully because of it, on top of that the doctors won't admit that did anything wrong (even thought she was put to sleep and that's why it happend) so she can't get any kind of help because of it.

To sum it up, the only reason they can still keep their house is becasue she's already using the retirement savings that was supposed to be for when my parents were old.

There is nothing my mom or dad could have done to prevent this or work "harder" to get out of it, and.. I'm just glad we live in Denmark where social-democracy is in place. Because if we lived in America, my parents would be living on the street - And probably me aswell, I wouldn't be able to afford this apartment if not for the government, I would not be able to afford to study if not for the government.
