After being married for 27 years and finding out that my wife has been cheating on me for the past 2 1/2 years i was devistated. This put me in deep depression and was suicidal. I understand that after so many years the sex is booring and something new would be exciting, one feals that they will never get caught. The fact is with all the electronics out there it isn't hard to find out they forget to deleat something than the shit hits the fan. For me it destroyed my trust in her and therefore destroyed everything we had worked for together we are now in process of devorce! My advice to all that think they won't get caught "dont do it" I am presently searching for new avenues to experiment my sexuality but being with the same woman for 30 years makes the thought scary and exciting at the same time.

Couldn't agree more. My previous wife told me she 'wanted her cake and to eat it too'. I got the divorce and a terrific new wife - she got her cake but the cream went sour and now she only gets the odd snack and leftovers. Sometimes life can be good.

 

I've been on both sides

My first marrage was a disaster. She fooled around, I forgave her, she fooled around, I left. I was very hurt, but in the end I believe I was made stronger.

I re-married and after 27 years I am very ashamed to say I was not able to resist temptation. I believe somewhere inside I simply wanted to know what it would be like to be with someone else. thanks to you all for your kind thoughts i have been working on my life situation from the time i found out about this on our vacation over the last 4th of july. I have been on medication for my depression and have been on some adult sites and some single dating sites howeve what i have found is that the single woman want more than i can offer at this time and the married ones well you know how i feal about that. Take it from me, when I was on the receiving end of the heartbreak, initially I thought I wanted to die. My self worth was damaged. But listen to me.....You are a good person and people like you. You will put this behind you and life will be brighter.

My first wife and I never cheated on each other. She died after 15 years of marriage. My 2nd wife left me after 6 months. I'm not sure whether or not she cheated on me. I am married again to a terrific woman. I have never nor would I ever cheat on my spouse. I'm for chastity!

 

I guess that I'm in the minority on this subject (not new to it though). It is good to see that everyone was true and their spouse was the one who cheated. I on the other hand am the guilty suspect. I cheated on my wife years ago and it is something that I do not avocate. Trying to explain why I did it is almost like trying to explain nuclear physics. I know and pretty much understand why people cheat, not saying that it is excusable to cheat, but there are many different reasons why people cheat. I was forturnate that my wife understood why I did it and forgave me, though she was not happy about what I did and I manage to earn her trust back, but she, in on uncertain terms let me know that my adulterous behavior would no longer be tolerated. I have to say alot of good came out of my cheating because I realized what my problem was and why I was cheating and eventually paid the price. Now my wife and I are closer then we ever have been before. One thing I can say is that one way or another you will pay for cheating. Sooner or later. Like I stated before, I understand why it's done but I don't recommend it.

 

My take is that I would not do it because I would not want to hurt her and I know it would. I have worked away from home and have been sorely tempted but I always think how hurt I would be if my wife betrayed me in that way.

Sorry f I sound like an old prude fart, could be why we are more in love after 26 years than ever though.
