If anyone is looking for an extremely brutal rape fantasy, read The Handsome Rapist. That story will curl your hair, and it was written by a woman.

*sigh* I said I'd never read another rape thread on here. I really wish I hadn't read this one.

At the heart of rape is one person having sex with another, without their consent. I love rough sex. I've been whipped, paddled, bitten, bruised, had my hair pulled so hard some of it came out. It was all done with my consent.
If I didn't give consent the most tender sex in the world is still rape - roughness has nothing to do with it.

In your *SPAM**SPAM**SPAM**SPAM* example it is rape because a three year old lacks the capacity to give consent. Non-consensual sex is rape.

Rape fantasies you have all the control you can control what happens in the rape scene and you can stop it whenever you can. If you cannot see the difference between fantasy and reality you have issues

Maybe you didn't read properly or maybe I did not explain myself well, as I think you are missing the point I was trying to make. I got the impression that the thread was about distinguishing Rape, from Rape Fantasy. The OP mentioned he was also researching the blurred lines between the two and why women like it because it is an act of violence. Before I go on. I hope we all agree that there are blurred lines, where this is concerned. Throughout the thread there have been: I don't think I know of a single woman who want to be raped. " I dated girls that have RAPE FANTASY... I roleplayed with one, but there was no act of violence." "I disagree, women do have rape fantasies. For some of them, it is the ROUGHNESS of the act, for others, the lost of CONTROL." " Women don't want to be beaten to a pulp they don't want to be bloodied and bruised and if they do they don't know what they are talking about... etc, etc. I read Morbidreams's post and I agree with what he posted. So according to that: Rape Fantasies, means with consent, and Rape, is without consent. My point, is what about those who doesn't give consent, wants the actual rape and likes it? That is why I pose the question of what is rape? If someone enjoys the act of actually being raped, does that mean, I have given consent and it cannot be labelled as rape anymore( Also whatever the circumstances the rape happened). If a man violently forces a woman to have sex, it is rape. If a man violently forces a woman to have sex and she cums, she happens to like it, is it still not rape? I am trying to point out that there are women/people in the world that actually enjoys non-consensual sex. They want the act of VIOLENCE, lost of CONTROL, they want the actual rape. That's the point of being rape, right? I went onto the three year old because I know that one isn't conscientious of what is being done to them, and therefore doesn't have the mind set to give consent or not. The old man was soft and gentle and she liked it, but we all know it is still ...rape. A person doesn't need to give consent to enjoy rape, enjoy or not, REAL RAPE IS STILL RAPE. Are you saying because I enjoy it is my fantasy? Are you saying, what I experience couldn't be real, because its what I want? There are women out there, that enjoys actually being raped, the violence, the control, being beaten, whatever, there are women out there that enjoys REAL RAPE. I have met some, it is how their lives are, and if they do not live like that, they feel incomplete, unsatisfied, so forth. Some might think that is sick, disgusting, well... we live in a world that has a lot of faults and fuck ups. Our minds are complex and a lot of things aren't just black or white but has a lot of grey. In my opinion Rape Fantasy, is just roleplaying, and Real Rape, (however, whatever that there are people who like it) is Rape.

Sex is a pretty primal thing. A lot of what I've read about BDSM implies that submissive girls often have trouble letting their inhibitions get in the way of really fun sex, but if they turn over their will to a master, they are no longer to blame for what they enjoy, they are just being obedient. Some girls actually are painsluts, where the pain itself helps them get off. Some girls enjoy bondage, where they are quite explicitly physically helpless but trust that they are not in danger.

I suspect another facet is the macho man stereotype, which modern society tends to look down upon but basically has a lot of roots in evolutionary biology. The man is stronger. Girl like bad boys. A real man takes what he wants. It's easy to take these to extremes that aren't good for civilized society, but as a sexual turn-on you can see how a lot of women might regress to such base concepts. (And really, there's no accounting for a lot of sexual fetishes, compared to some you could name, the fantasy of being taken by a man is downright logical.) Also, of course, the idea that a really attractive woman makes a man lose control of himself. Usually that just means he turns into a blithering idiot around pretty girls, but taken to the extreme it means the man will go to any lengths to fuck her, whether that means offer her a million dollars or break into her house and put a knife to her throat. The rape fantasy can imply a related fantasy that the woman possesses that degree of desirability.

Of course this is all done vicariously, from a position of safety and zero uncertainty. Rape stories. Rape roleplay by phone sex or cyber sex. Even if it's rape play via genuine sex, proper BDSM protocols with prediscussed limits and a safeword are observed.

Simulated danger is a rush. Roller coasters, skydiving, bungie jumping, paintball combat, horror movies. Rape play. Rape is the most personal and most extreme violation that can be done to a person, so it follows that rape fantasy or rape roleplay can be one of the most extreme expressions of simulated danger. Nobody wants to be in real danger though. Fake risk is enjoyable, real risk might not end the good way.

Also note that the rape fantasy is just the extreme case of the much more widespread theme of bored housewives wishing their husbands would occasionally do just a fraction of the kind of sexual domination they've been reading about in Fifty Shades.

There is plenty of legitimate studies available for research online with this subject. Appx 57% of women have them of some fashion. It's perfectly normal. It has nothing to do with them actually wanting to be raped. It has more to do with being able to live out some fantasies and not take much responsibility for it morally or mentally. Again, plenty of studies published on it. No need to hash it out here. Google it and pay close attention to the validity of the source.

I agree I had this one girl in college, she would want me to tie her hands behind her back with a belt or tie and grab a handful of her hair to pull her neck back and want me to plow her ass from behind.

Where I must disagree with @Hush is that many women have the fantasy of a pseudo rape in role play (that's a statistical fact) although many may never act it due to not having a trusted partner to share it with. That can handle the act with the maturity and responsibility of making it happen without losing control or becoming overwhelmingly disturbed by the nature of her reactions if it's done right.

I think that we are all in agreement here. No one wants to be really raped, beaten and left as a broken, bloody, shell of a person.
Some people do enjoy the loss of control and rough sex play, but when you get down to the core of it that's all it is, roleplay.
Now if someone wants to smack my ass and leave fingernail marks down my back then I'm all in.

    Women's Rape Fantasies....
I wonder if the surveys explain what rape means in a fantasy context? Some of my fantasies of being swept away by mutual lust could technically be considerred non-consent. But fantasy can be a not-so-coherent dream, so it doesn't seem like "rape" is the right word for what I'm enjoying.

But, there is one kind of fantasy where rape is part of the hotness, and that is in women-written-erotica specializing in guy-on-guy rape fantasies. It's called slash fiction (m/m), and it's often a subset of fan fiction. "Fan fiction" because the male characters on in popular TV, books, or movies. One of the first slash pairings was Kirk/Spock, and it's been going for decades. I was only into it for a little while, back when I was part of an internet social group into a certain TV show. A book on internet porn talks about this kind of woman's erotica, and part of why it appeals to it's fans is that "no one is getting hurt for real". Somehow it's less risky or triggering to see it happen to a guy.

I wonder when they do these surveys, do they make it clear to the woman, "Are you fantasizing about YOU getting raped, or two hot guys doing it?" :)

If anyone is curious, here's a couple of the sites where this kind of erotica can be found. You have to search for a tag like "non-con" to find those kind of stories. Using popular characters allows the fiction to explore a lot of emotions without creating the characters too.

This mentions a study which found a key difference between men & women's attitudes toward sexual fantasy. More women want to keep their fantasies as just fantasy. In contrast, more men thought of their fantasies as something they would like to experience in real life. I've got to admit women's romance fantasies are elaborate, and could be a lot of work. Better to just enjoy the fantasy. :)
