I did before I commented and read it again just now. But I still don't see any "effective prevention" or even what you mean by that.

I think I have but will double check to make sure. Because I really do want to know what your idea of effective prevention is and what your proposed solutions are.

I already have come up with my answer many times on this forum before. Which is why I am interested in hearing your answer.

And you did start out sounding like a cross between Adolph Hitler and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. But then as myself and others pointed out you then turned around and said you didn't say the things you said.

But OK we will just have to disagree on this. I won't ever agree to go along with becoming a terrorist in order to fight terrorism. Especially when the goal is to become a worse terrorist. But you can if you want to.

Well I can't say it any clearer than I already have.

You and I know there is no actual prevention as such , to all of this.
The best that can be done , is to remove serious threats from our society , and prevent them from doing any harm , as we did in times of war.
As we do with paedophiles , child porn peddlers and the like.

But mostly politicians need to give authorities and the military the powers needed and instruct all to actually do whatever it takes to remove and reduce the known risk.

To actually do something more than watch/monitor them until they do mass murder.

At the moment there is no deterrent.
They seek their twisted idea of glory
in murder and death.

Remove them.
Remove their glory.
Make them impotent.
Make them failures.
Isolate them from our society , every chance , for every excuse they give us.

Just saying , oh we're at war with them is not good enough.

Leaders need to lead , to actually declare war , against terrorists , spell out who will be targeted , spell out that they will be isolated and spell out they will be detained , and/or whatever ,
and DO SOMETHING.

(as I understand it , I believe the British public are about the most watched , most monitored society in the world. They already have the most and highest density of CCTV .
They could put it use before , instead of after the crime.
All that huge effort to catch up after each horrible event , should be used to remove as many of the threats they are aware of and can find ,
Before they do murder , instead of after)

And even with people who commit child porn we not only give them a trial and due process but we also try to rehabilitate them don't we? In fact aren't the sentences for child porn rather light?

So I don't really see where you get this "war on pedophiles" analogy. It sure seems to me we treat pedophiles a lot better than we treat terrorists..

So the answer is for us to live under military rule and not democracy? Ok got it. But that is not the way I want to live.

How would you do this? Put cameras into people's houses? And again whose? All of our houses or just in Muslim houses?

 

Hey @RandyKnight what is Trump doing that President Obama didn't. Since he has became P)resident has Trump used the phrase "radical Islamist terrorism? Did Trump say that in Saudi Arabia? Because if he did me and the rest of the world must have missed that.

Actually from what I saw the entire world press was very complementary of the way Trump kissed Muslim ass in Saudi Arabia and never once said "radical Islamist terrorist."

We was at war with the IRA. We had troops stationed and everything, 650 or so troops died. The IRA actually succeeded in a lot of their political goals, changing the relationship between Northern Ireland and Britain.

The UK's war with the IRA left England forever changed, and in a sense diminished on the world stage. I won't get into whether this is good or bad. Not in a fight that has enmities going back a thousand years. But for better or worse, good or bad, any time a country cedes to an adversary, its stature is reduced. The war with Northern Ireland was exactly that, with strategic and lasting consequences.
