How would your "online friends" find out? I saw the thread titled "In Memory of XNXX Past Members" and it got me to thinking about how many people pass away and the people on the websites, forums, etc they may frequent just never know what happened to them.

Since I am very involved in the TG community I do a lot of online support and information sharing so I post on a lot of different websites, message boards and forums. I also post of auto repair, Jeep repair, heart attack. gambling addiction, etc boards regularly. It would be a shame if I passed away and none of the 100's of people I regularly interacted with knew what happened so I have a detailed list of instructions in an envelope next to my computer telling my family which message boards to sign on to announce my passing should that happen. As well as people to e-mail, text message or call.

So the plus side is people won't wonder where I disappeared to and maybe think I just got tired of them or bored or don't care. But the negative is that my family will find out I did a lot of really odd things in my spare time.

 

There are a few people in here that I interact with on a personal basis, so I guess my demise would eventually be confirmed in this and other sites that I use.

However, in the general scheme of things and in considering the anonymous nature of this forum, does it really matter?

 

im a fairly fast texter- if i dont reply back quickly, people know im either sleeping or at work... if i didnt reply back within the week, people would know that something serious is happening

 

I considered this subject a few times and wondered if some peoples family members would contact someone from a porn site especially if the person was religious or their family took offense. A lot of folks lead double lives. I also wouldn't want to have a note by my computer like that because it would make me feel sad to think that way each time I looked at the envelope. I currently have enough people from here communicating with me on email or text however with that said people do come and go. I would think that after a few weeks of not logging on someone would be emailing me or calling as I just went 2 days with out signing in last weekend when I had the flu and I got a few panicked emails. Once I die though I really don't think I would care what anyone thought.

I am not gonna die yet as I still have a few feathers to ruffle here, LOL

 

Obviously it matter to many here. Look how everyone wondered after Richie left for months.

 

Ultimately, death takes priority once a person dies.

Can you imagine though? You're lying there dead, everyone around you is in mourning, and you sit bolt upright because you forgot to contact everyone you know to tell them about it?

 

There are a few in here that I can see thinking that they will be able to.

 

Since the day we were born each day that we live we die a little bit.

I have told my friends not to mourn when I go, I want them to be happy that I was in a better place possibly and joyously celebrate life. I wouldn't want a funeral but for them to all get together and go out and do something outrageously crazy like sky diving, zip lining or white water rafting or something that I would have encouraged each one of them to do and while they are out partaking they can drop my remains over the mountains were I love to hike and mountain bike. I would not like to hear of anyone sitting around being sad.

 

I have my final wishes written out and hanging on my bedroom wall for when I die so everyone knows where to spread my ashes. As far as anyone posting here though, no.

 

I tend to come and go in various places. Nobody would notice a thing.

 

After reading this, I can't help but wonder about Kimico.

 

Well my posting was more generalized and would include anyone you associate with regularly online across the spectrum. I am sure there are people most of us talk to online who may miss us and wonder why we stopped replying to them. For some that may not apply. Maybe we could invent some sort of monitor you wear and when you die it would mass post a prewritten message for you. "Well, I'm dead!"

 

It doesn't matter what happens when you pass it only matters what you do when your here the lives you touch today will feel you tomorrow

 

Life...no one gets out alive.
