According to the report being released right now there were actually 400 good guys with guns standing around for more than an hour while the shooter continued to shoot kids and other kids were just allowed to bleed out.

I am simply never willing to let anyone pretend that just because its a new page it didn't happen.

So let's see you defend 400 armed law enforcement officers standing around for more than an hour while kids are still being shot and others are being allowed to just bleed out there super cop.

 

I am watching the alleged report on the Uvalde shooting and right off the bat they are using their favorite trick. They are letting the press ask questions but even though they have shown they do have the capability you can't actually hear the reporter's question. That way they can just give the answer they want even if it doesn't have a fucking thing to do with the question that was asked.

 

We clearly state part of the systemic failure was there was no incident command. And that is essential. We had 400 officers on the scene but no central command.

Whose fault was that?

We are not here to place blame. We did not make that determination.

There are very strong indications the classroom door was not locked. But damn the luck we will never know for sure.

 

And again just damn the luck the guy who was actually at the shooting and supposed to answer wasn't available at the last minute.

Cop Passed Out While Waiting to Brief Officials on Uvalde, Report Finds

In the immediate aftermath of May’s mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, state leaders relied on law enforcement for information to pass on to the public, and gathered for a briefing “in preparation for a broader press conference,” according to Sunday’s preliminary report by the Texas House of Representatives. But the Uvalde police lieutenant tapped to lead it—a firsthand witness to the shooting—“literally passed out while waiting in the hallway beforehand.” The report does not elaborate on why the officer lost consciousness. Victor Escalon, a regional director for the state’s Department of Public Safety, led the briefing in the officer’s stead, but Escalon “did not personally witness the bulk of the day’s events, leaving him to depend on secondhand knowledge” from other officers. At the subsequent public press conference, Gov. Greg Abbott and other officials “repeated a false narrative,” setting off a wave of misinformation and recrimination that has not abated.

The chairman of the investigatory committee examining the Uvalde, Texas mass shooting began his press conference Sunday, saying that there were a lot of things to blame for the mass shooter.

It became clear that many of the questions from the press and the community had to do with the inaction of the 376 police, including 149 border patrol agents, on the scene that day.

"We wanted to show the law enforcement's response. However, we did give you a more comprehensive look at the background of the attacker. We refer to him throughout that report, because that is how he refers to by the alert training. He fits the profile of many," said Rep. Dustin Burrows, of Lubbock, Texas. "He came from a broken home with literal or no interaction with his father. He struggled in school, both academically and socially. He struggled to fit in and eventually became isolated. He networked through his peers through social media and violent video games. He ultimately had a fixation on school shootings and even developed the nickname, school shooter."

Former Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman, who also sits on the three-person committee, said that no police officer should be in the job if they can't rush in to save someone, as the nearly 400 law enforcement officials failed to do in Uvalde.

The acting Commander on site is fully responsible for the action of these 400 heavily armed law enforcement personnel..not the cops...400?...seems a bit overkill to me

This is the results of another gun free zone the democrats thought legislation would protect folks from.

So today we are asking schools to be armed...
