I agree. Spirituality comes from the inside, not the outside.
Church is in the heart.
Therefore, I am in church all the time.
Except for rare occasions, I dwell in the presence of the spirit.

When I was young. I was in catholic school.
Because I was a misfit. I was assigned parish duty. Cleaning and restocking pamphlets etc.
didn’t know what exactly I was looking at then. But now I know what the clergy was doing to altar boys !!
They were doing the very things they were telling parishioners NOT to do A lot

I attend every week. I am a Christian that believes what the Bible says about sexual impurity and have to grapple with my desires and that belief every day. It would be easier, I'm sure, to just say fuck it all and walk away from religion, but then I would be walking away from what I believe to be untimely true. So I accept that I'm a sinner and pray that God will help me through it. Some days are better than others. I'm looking for an outlet for the days that I have a hard time resisting the temptation so that I don't do something stupid as I have in the past. I'm just trying to manage it all I guess. But yeah, I do go to church and I do find strength and comfort there. I'm the one with the problem, not God. That's how I see it anyway. To each his own, I suppose.

Once upon a time you used to go to church to replenish your spirit... now it's a fucking political rally. Fuck 'em and I hope God be he or she finally burns them down once and for all in an apocalyptical cleansing sponsored by Tide.

 

Only for funerals and weddings not a believer in religion but it's been in human nature to have a higher being, mainly in my opinion because we need a reason to understand why we are here and to control people

Brought up as catholic. The whole deal, confirmation, communion, Sunday school etc. Hated it.

 

I go to Church each day.
I leave for work and watch the sunrise as I drive in.
During the day I work on the open bay,
I see Tall masted ships from the 17oo's and 1800's with their sails billowing.
I see the US Navy ships come in and leave the bay, destroyers, Carriers, assault craft, and SWICC boats alike.
I see the Dolphins training and showing their skills daily at work.
I see the Sea Lions pushing each other around, I watch them sleeping, and swimming.
I watch the Pelicans glide just above the waves.
I watch the Commorant's dive.
I look up at the Rosecrans National Military Cemetary three times a day. I look in quietly and think of the 141,000 men buried up there on that hill.
As we take the boat in for the day, I hear Taps as they play for the Marine Recruits letting them end their day.
I got to Chuch in a way never written in a book.
I don't need a God to tell me or show me the way. I have all that I see in each and every day.

I was proselytized by Mormon missionaries. I liked them, but I choose not to become a Mormon.
