  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

Kimiko, you and I seldom see eye to eye but on this subject I must agree with you. He will be forgotten in a year or two except for his foolish admirers.

I agree that he cannot be compared to Mozart but I disagree that he will be forgotten by the main stream in 2 years.

MJ is the main stream personified. Have we forgotten the Beetles? or Johnny Cash or Frank Sinatra?

Apparantly they don't know whether to blame it on the sunshine, the moonlight or just to blame it on the boogie

Reports of Michael Jackson having a heartattack are incorrect. He's been found in the children's ward having a stroke

As Michael Jackson is 99% plastic he will not be cremated, he will be melted into lego blocks so that kids can play with him

Michael Jackson Doctor -- MIAPosted Jun 26th 2009 10:00AM by TMZ Staff
*not_secure_link*www.blogcdn.com/www.tmz.com/media/2009/06/0625_michael_jackson_ex3.jpgWe've learned law enforcement is looking for a doctor who lived at Michael Jackson's home -- and the doctor is nowhere to be found.

Law enforcement sources tell us a BMW belonging to the doctor was towed from Jackson's home last night.

Cops are looking to interview the doc.

A law enforcement source says the doctor gave Jackson an injection before he died.

Jackson reportedly may have OD'd on Demerol. As we first reported, family members were concerned that Jackson was taking too

Since none of the artists you mentioned are played on mainstream radio or much of any radio for that matter, I would say they are pretty much forgotten by most of the music listening world and since few songs who these performers recorded were written by them, they are little more than talking heads.

Michael Jackson is the only reason I listen to what little music I do, and the first artist I ever owned anything by.... and still the artist whose music I listen to most. Second place goes to Metallica, third is tied between Janet Jackson and Nirvana. Anyway, I will miss him. *not_secure_link*www.uglysob.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

I know he had a multitude of fans and many will mourn him, but I never particularly liked him. In my opinion, he had two decent albums, Off The Wall and Thriller; the rest were more hype than substance and the quality got noticeably worse over the past 20 years. He was also a creep.

On the other hand, I am sorry he died so young.

Well, he wasn't Mozart but, critically, he was one of the most profound and influential artists of the 20th century. He basically molded the "pop" genre into what it is today. I was listening to Morning Edition on the way home from work and I heard the Pulitzer Prize winning critic Margo Jefferson saying that MJ was ultimately a master of syncretism. She was exactly right. Even from his early days with the Jackson 5, MJ's music could not be discretely placed into a single category. It contained traces of various styles, Afro-pop, Soul, R&B, Funk, Rock, Latin, Rap & Hip-hop--and yet he took all those styles and made the combination distinctly his own.

    Al Sharpton said:
“Michael Jackson made culture accept a person of color, way before Tiger Woods, way before Oprah Winfrey, way before Barack Obama. Michael did with music what they later did in sports and in politics, and in television. And no controversy will erase the historic impact,"

This is so true. All kinds of people of every race knew of and adored Michael Jackson. He was the first black artist to be universally accepted by whites in the United States. Like a prince of peace, he sang and performed with pure innocence with his tender, angelic voice and boyish energy--diffusing, culturally, the racial tension and violence that epitomized the decades before his time. And so he grew up to be a troubled hermit who was ugly, despised, and alone--but I refuse to remember him that way. To me, this would always be the real Michael Jackson.
