Yes a tragedy happened in Minneapolis and I am incensed by it as much as anyone here in spite of the fact that Floyd was a career criminal. The perpetrators are all in jail in spite of the fact that one officer suggested that Floyd be moved as it did not look like a safe situation. Chauvin exerted his authority and deserves the worst the US justice system can throw at him.

There comes a point when Americans need to say that White America needs to stop genuflecting to adolescent behavior and just fucking be a grown up and that applies to whites and blacks equally!

Enough is enough and we’ve reached a point where blameshifting has to stop!

If someone breaks the law there has to be a deterrent in force to stop it and no matter how flawed it is presently that force is the police.

Fix it but don’t throw out the baby with the bath water!

It would take someone on this forum that had alcoholic parents to describe this pain. The key word in all of the is pain. The word terror was created in 105B.C. and means any person or group that causes pain, suffering, fear is a terrorist. I was a volunteer firefighter/medic and worked for a Ambulance company responding to thousands of calls in the county. For the last 29 years I have been teaching myself to become trauma informed. The movie Amazing Grace with the main character William Wilberforce. I have the necessary empathy and compassion but I had a stroke with PTSD I have not been able to put my thoughts into words. Those with empathy can actually feel the pain and suffering of others. I think the only people that can solve our problems must be able to feel this pain. A “White Lives Matter Burnley” banner flown over an English Premier League match between Manchester City and Burnley at Etihad Stadium on Monday sparked a police investigation.

The plane was seen flying over the Manchester stadium just as players began to take a knee to show support for the Black Lives Matter movement. The aircraft circled the stadium for several minutes. Lancashire police said they will be “fully investigating” the incident.

“Fans like that don't deserve to be around football,” Burnley defender Ben Mee told BBC Radio Live 5. “We're ashamed, we're embarrassed."

“It's a minority of our supporters — I know I speak for a massive part of our support who distance ourselves from anything like that. It definitely had a massive impact on us to see that in the sky,” he added. “We are embarrassed that our name was in it, that they tried to attach it to our club — it doesn't belong anywhere near our club.”

Burnley apologized for the banner and condemned it in a statement.



“Burnley strongly condemns the actions of those responsible for the aircraft and offensive banner,” the club said in a statement. “We wish to make it clear that those responsible are not welcome at Turf Moor.”
